2023 August 6th event

As I said in my last group email our August 2023 event was the best one held to date. We had only one little glitch. While we had planned for six wineries, we had one no show. Wicked Kreations Winery just didn’t show up. Fortunately, we had a large assortment of wines and hard cider. We had about 125 folks show up for this event. The participating wineries were:

As I mentioned in my last email, I absolutely want to thank our musicians David and Maximiño Manzanares. They made our event extra special. Maximiño’s singing was amazing and he is an exceptional young man.

Once again, the event was held at the Abiquiu Inn under the cottonwood trees.

The hardest thing for me is trying to determine which of the 100 plus photos to post on our website. Between Andie and Jan, I have more than enough great photos to choose from.

Our annual August 14th event was the biggest and best too date. We had over 75 members and guests and wines from six wineries. By my unofficial count we had about 30 different wines to taste. Some of the wines were exceptional. Based on the feedback received, everyone had a great time. It was amazing to hear from some of our guests that they had no idea the New Mexico had so many wineries with quality wines.

The Abiquiu Inn was incredibly gracious in allowing us to use their beautiful grounds for our event. The setting was perfect. In addition to the wine, we had live entertainment by Gary Vigil.
